"It's not work if you love it."

"He worked harder than anyone I've ever seen in my entire life. He loved every momentous step we took in this company. He LOVED all of it. But most of all, he loved our people. We are family. We will do him proud."
Sheryl Queen, Co-Founder & Wife
Walter F. Queen was born on December 15, 1968, in Troy, Ohio, the son of Roger and Cora Queen. From the beginning, Walt was shaped by a deep sense of faith, a love of hard work, and a genuine care for the people around him. Those qualities never left him. They followed him into every role he filled: son, student, husband, father, founder, and friend.
Walt pursued his education with the same purposefulness he brought to everything else, earning a bachelor's degree in organizational management from Bluffton University and an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University. Armed with both knowledge and heart, he set his sights on building something of his own. In 2019, he and his wife Sheryl founded Queen Exhibits out of their home office in Piqua, Ohio, with a shared belief that if you love what you do and treat people right, the rest will follow.
And follow it did. Over the next few years, Walt and Sheryl grew Queen Exhibits into a respected, multi-facility operation known across the nation for creative excellence and logistical precision. Walt was never the kind of leader who managed from a distance. He painted floors, built racks, studied the numbers, and stood shoulder to shoulder with his team every step of the way. He brought Six Sigma discipline to the warehouse floor and genuine warmth to every conversation. Under his guidance, the company grew to employ more than 30 dedicated professionals, and as a proud member of the Exhibit Designers and Producers Association (EDPA), Walt was known as much for his willingness to mentor others as for his own accomplishments.
To know Walt was to know someone who was fully present wherever he was. Away from the office, he was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a grandfather who delighted in being called "pap." He was a member of Upper Room Worship Center in Tipp City, where his faith was not something he kept separate from daily life but something that quietly guided every decision he made. He loved to travel, enjoyed a good round of golf, and found real joy in bow hunting. He had a humor that put people at ease and a compassion that made them feel seen, and the combination made him the kind of person people were simply grateful to be around.
Everything Walt built, he built for others. For Sheryl, for his family, for his team, and for the community he loved. He would say so himself, plainly and often, and the way he lived left no doubt that he meant it.
Walt's vision, faith, and love for people are woven into every exhibit we build and every relationship we keep.
His legacy endures in this team he called family.
